Hi, I’m Macie, the face and heart behind Louise Lane.
Louise Lane began with a love for clothing and style, but God has slowly shown me that it was meant to become so much more.
The name Louise Lane is deeply personal to me. Louise, comes from my middle name, and when I chose Lane, I loved how it represented a path or journey. Looking back now, I don't think I realized just how much that would come to represent my own story.
When I was 14, I lost my dad to suicide. After losing him, I walked through years of grief, depression, and trying to find my own way through life. Eventually, I came to a point where I realized I had a choice. I could continue trying to walk through life my way, holding onto the hurt and staying on the path I was on, or I could surrender my life to God and trust Him with where He wanted to lead me.
Choosing to follow God didn't mean everything suddenly became easy or that I knew exactly where He was taking me. It meant choosing to trust Him one step at a time. And somewhere along that journey, God began turning the places that once held so much pain into a life filled with purpose.
Looking back, the meaning behind Lane feels even more fitting now than it did when I first chose it. What began as a name that simply reminded me of a path or journey has become a reflection of how I want to live my life, following the path God has for me, even when I can't see where it leads.
So much of Louise Lane has been built that way. I haven't had the entire plan mapped out. I've simply tried to follow where I feel God leading, trusting in Him with what I can't see yet, and allowing Him to shape this business into whatever He wants it to become.
What started as a small dream has grown into a way for me to combine my love for style with something I care about even more: loving people well and living with purpose.
My heart is for every woman who finds Louise Lane to know that she is seen, loved, and created with purpose. I want this to be a place where you can find pieces you feel beautiful and confident in, while also finding encouragement that points you back to something greater.
Faith isn't simply a collection within Louise Lane. It's the foundation of everything we're building.
Giving back is a big part of the heart behind Louise Lane. As we continue to grow, one of our goals is to use a portion of our sales to bless local families in need and pour back into the community that supports us. We may be a small business just getting started, but generosity will always be part of where we’re headed.
My prayer is that Louise Lane continues to grow beyond a boutique into a community where women can connect, encourage one another, pray for one another, and walk through life together.
I also hope to build something that lasts beyond me, something rooted in faith and purpose that can continue to make an impact for generations to come.
I don’t know exactly what every chapter of Louise Lane will look like, but I know Who I’m trusting with the story.
