Hi, I'm Macie, the face and heart behind Louise Lane!
Louise Lane started with a love for clothing and fashion and a dream of owning my own boutique. I've always loved putting outfits together and finding pieces that make women feel beautiful and confident. But as I started building this business, God began putting it on my heart to make it about something more than just selling clothes. The name Louise Lane is really special to me. Louise comes from my middle name, and when I chose Lane, I loved how it represented a path or journey. Looking back now, I don't think I realized just how much that meaning would come to reflect my own story.
When I was 14, I lost my dad to suicide. After losing him, I walked through years of grief, depression, and trying to find my way through life. Eventually, I came to a point where I realized I had a choice. I could continue trying to do life my own way, holding onto the hurt and staying on the path I was on, or I could surrender my life to God and trust Him with where He wanted to lead me. Choosing to follow God didn't mean everything suddenly became easy or that I had everything figured out. But through it all, I've learned that I don't have to know what every step looks like. I just have to keep trusting Him with the next one. And somewhere along that journey, God began taking some of the hardest parts of my story and using them to give me a heart for encouraging others, loving people well, and reminding them that they aren't alone in what they're walking through.
Looking back, the meaning behind Lane feels even more fitting now. What started as a name that simply reminded me of a journey has become a reflection of how I want to live my life, following the path God has for me, even when I can't see where it leads. In a lot of ways, that's been my journey with Louise Lane too. When I first started, I didn't have this big vision of what I wanted the business to become. I just knew I loved fashion and wanted to build something of my own. But as I've grown in my relationship with God, my heart for this business has grown, too. What started as a small dream has become a way for me to combine my love for style with something I care about even more: loving people well and living with purpose.
Today, Louise Lane is a faith-based women's boutique offering a mix of Christian apparel, everyday clothing, accessories, and faith-inspired finds. But what means the most to me is the opportunity to connect with people along the way. Whether it's a conversation at an event, a handwritten note tucked into an order, or taking a moment to pray over a package before it goes out, I want even the little things to have meaning. My heart is for every woman who finds Louise Lane to know that she is seen, loved, and created with purpose. I want this to be a place where you can find pieces that make you feel beautiful and confident, while also finding encouragement that points you back to Jesus. Because to me, faith isn't simply a collection within Louise Lane. It's the foundation of everything we're building.
Giving back is also a big part of my heart for this business. As Louise Lane grows, one of my goals is to use a portion of our sales to bless local families in need and give back to the communities that support us. And while Louise Lane is still a small business, I have some pretty big dreams for where it could go. My prayer is that one day Louise Lane becomes more than a boutique. I dream of creating a space where women can come together, build genuine friendships, grow in their relationship with God, encourage one another, and walk through life's different seasons together. I also hope to build something that lasts beyond me, something rooted in faith and purpose that can continue to make a difference in people's lives for generations to come. I don't know exactly what every chapter of Louise Lane will look like, but I'm learning to be faithful with what's in front of me and trust God with what I can't see yet.
At the end of the day, I don't want Louise Lane to be remembered just for the clothes we sold. I hope it's remembered for the people we loved, the lives we touched, and the ways God used this little business to make a difference. I'm so grateful you're here.
